MIBR ended NRG’s StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 campaign with a 2-0 win in Barcelona on September 19. A 13-7 victory on Cache and a 13-2 finish on Inferno sent the Brazilian organization into the lower-bracket final, with LNZ leading the series ratings and insani producing its highest kill total.

The decisive difference came when MIBR attacked. Across their two Terrorist halves, they won 18 rounds and lost only two. NRG reached the interval ahead on Cache but could not add another round after switching to defense, then conceded a 10-2 first half on Inferno. Their promising start to the tournament, an opening win over MOUZ, ultimately ended in elimination.

MIBR had already survived an elimination match the previous day. Against magic, they won Ancient 13-8, lost Mirage 11-13 and recovered with another 13-8 result on Inferno. That series went the distance despite magic using their coach in place of AW. insani finished it with 63 kills and a 1.45 rating, while tomaszin contributed 53 kills and a 1.31 rating.

The route past NRG required no deciding map. MIBR again won Inferno, but this time the map settled the series immediately after Cache rather than rescuing it following a defeat on Mirage. Their consecutive lower-bracket victories removed magic and NRG from the event and carried MIBR into the next round.

Cache turns after halftime as MIBR take control

NRG picked Cache and built a 7-5 lead on the T side even after losing the opening pistol. That was their best position in the match. MIBR answered with eight consecutive rounds on attack, taking the map before NRG could win a single CT round. LNZ finished Cache with 20 kills, 15 deaths and a 1.70 rating.

Inferno began with MIBR attacking again. NRG did not register their first defensive round until the score became 1-9, and the half ended 10-2 in MIBR’s favor. Three more rounds after the break completed the 13-2 win. The two maps followed different opening halves, but both ended with MIBR shutting NRG out after the interval.

  • MIBR selected Inferno after removing Dust2.
  • Nuke remained as the decider but was not played.

LNZ’s 1.50 series rating put him ahead of his teammates, although insani and tomaszin recorded more kills. insani finished on 33 kills and 20 deaths, with 95.3 average damage per round and a 1.43 rating. tomaszin posted 31 kills against 17 deaths and a 1.45 rating. LNZ’s own line was 28 kills, 22 deaths and 92.7 average damage per round.

The contributions extended beyond that trio. venomzera ended the series with 22 kills and a 1.21 rating, while nqz had 26 kills and a 1.18 rating. MIBR’s leading rating, highest kill count and fewest deaths therefore belonged to different players: LNZ, insani and tomaszin respectively.

NRG leave after losses to Aurora and MIBR

NRG arrived in the lower bracket after losing 0-2 to Aurora on September 18. Cache had also been their choice in that series, and Aurora took it 13-7 before winning Mirage 19-17. NRG had recovered from a 0-6 start on Mirage to lead 11-7, with Grim driving the comeback, but Aurora forced overtime and closed the map in the second set of extra rounds.

That defeat sent NRG into the meeting with MIBR, where another lost Cache pick left them needing to win Inferno to continue. This time there was no extended second-map recovery. Sonic went from 16 kills on Cache to five on Inferno, while hallzerk followed a 15-kill opener with six kills on the closing map.

Jeorge was NRG’s highest-rated player for the complete series at 0.89, recording 23 kills and 29 deaths. hallzerk and Sonic each finished with 21 kills; Grim had 18 and nitr0 13. The individual series totals for the leading MIBR trio and NRG’s highest-rated player are compared below.

LNZ MIBR 28 22 1.50

NRG finished StarSeries Fall in fifth-sixth place, with $10,000 listed for that placing. Their opening upset of MOUZ still brought a ranking benefit: HLTV reported a 130-point VRS gain from the tournament. A further 70 points were available only with a win against MIBR, so the defeat ended their opportunity to add that ranking reward.

MIBR’s reward was a place in the lower-bracket final. They later lost that match 0-2 to FURIA, on Mirage 8-13 and Nuke 11-13. The subsequent defeat does not change what the NRG series showed: MIBR recovered from a halftime deficit on Cache and then controlled Inferno from the start. It was their second consecutive elimination-match victory after the three-map contest against magic.
