FURIA ended MIBR’s StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 run with a 2-0 win in Barcelona on September 19. The lower-bracket final turned on two recoveries: FURIA won Mirage 13-8 after falling five rounds behind, then took Nuke 13-11 despite trailing at halftime. The result kept FURIA in the title race and left MIBR in fourth place.

The match was the teams’ second meeting at the event. Their opening-round series on September 17 had gone to three maps, with FURIA winning 2-1. This rematch was shorter, but Nuke remained competitive until its final regulation round. YEKINDAR led FURIA with 40 kills across the series, while KSCERATO supplied its highest average damage per round.

Both teams had already played an elimination match earlier on September 19. MIBR removed NRG in two maps, taking Cache 13-7 and Inferno 13-2. FURIA’s route was longer: they beat MOUZ 2-1 after winning Cache, losing Mirage in overtime and closing the series on Nuke. Their lower-bracket final was therefore another match on the same day for both sides.

The September 17 meeting gave the rematch a clear reference point. MIBR had taken Inferno 13-11, only for FURIA to win Nuke and Cache by identical 13-6 scores. MIBR changed their map choice for the second encounter, selecting Mirage instead of Inferno. FURIA again chose Nuke. Inferno remained available as a decider, but the series never reached it.

FURIA overturn MIBR’s opening lead on Mirage

MIBR began their own pick with five consecutive rounds. A 5-0 start put them in control of the opening stretch, but it did not become a halftime advantage. FURIA recovered to lead 7-5 at the break, taking seven of the next seven rounds. The reversal meant MIBR had to chase the map after building its first meaningful lead.

MIBR won the second-half pistol round, briefly narrowing the gap. FURIA then built a six-round run, with YEKINDAR prominent as they moved clear. The final score was 13-8. MIBR added only three rounds in the second half, so the early 5-0 advantage amounted to most of their Mirage total. The first map also left them needing to beat FURIA on the opponent’s choice of Nuke.

  • September 17: FURIA beat MIBR 2-1 in the upper-bracket opening round.
  • Earlier on September 19: MIBR beat NRG 2-0 and FURIA beat MOUZ 2-1.
  • September 19 lower-bracket final: FURIA beat MIBR 2-0 on Mirage and Nuke.

The map veto helps explain the different shape of the rematch. MIBR removed Dust2 and selected Mirage; FURIA removed Anubis and selected Nuke. After the final removals, Inferno was left for a possible third map. MIBR had won Inferno in the first meeting, but that result offered no direct help once FURIA took the new opening map.

FURIA’s series leaders contributed in different ways. YEKINDAR’s 40 kills were the highest individual total, and his 1.35 rating led the match winners. KSCERATO finished one kill behind him at 39, yet his 98.9 average damage per round was FURIA’s best mark. Their combined output mattered especially because MIBR held the stronger position midway through Nuke.

MIBR’s Nuke lead disappears after the break

Nuke was FURIA’s pick, but MIBR reached halftime ahead 8-4. FURIA had an early moment through yuurih’s one-versus-two clutch, and venomzera answered for MIBR with three Five-SeveN kills. MIBR then restricted FURIA to four rounds in the half. That defensive lead created the chance to force the decider that had been left in the veto.

The second half reversed the balance. FURIA won nine rounds while MIBR managed three, finishing Nuke 13-11. MIBR stayed close enough to take the map to its last regulation round, but could not put together the late run required to take it. KSCERATO ended the contest with four kills in that closing round, a sharp finish to a map MIBR had led by four at halftime.

The individual numbers show why FURIA could recover. YEKINDAR finished on 40 kills and 32 deaths with an 88.8 average damage per round. KSCERATO recorded 39 kills against 25 deaths and 98.9 average damage. For MIBR, tomaszin had 31 kills and venomzera 26. Those four players’ complete-series lines are set out below.

YEKINDAR FURIA 40 32 1.35

MIBR’s tournament ended in fourth place, with $20,000 listed for that finish. Their lower-bracket wins over NRG and, the previous day, magic kept them alive after the opening defeat to FURIA, but the second meeting stopped that recovery. The shift from Inferno to Mirage as MIBR’s pick did not change the series winner.

FURIA advanced to a consolidation-final rematch with Vitality on September 20. The winner was scheduled to meet Aurora in the best-of-five title match. Their route had already included a three-map win over MIBR, an elimination win over MOUZ and now a two-map win over MIBR; the Nuke comeback was the result that carried them into the final day.
