Slaven AwaykeN Lyubenov has established a Counter-Strike 2 LAN record by recording 62 kills on a single map. The Bulgarian AWPer reached the total for INFURITY against Inner Circle Academy during the group stage of Urban Riga Open Season 7 in Riga.

The individual record came in defeat. INFURITY lost Dust2 29-31 after six periods of overtime, making the best-of-one a 60-round contest. AwaykeN finished with 62 kills and 37 deaths, but Inner Circle Academy secured the final two rounds and the match.

AwaykeN’s full statistical line shows how much of INFURITY’s output ran through him. He recorded 105.0 average damage per round, an 81.7% KAST and a 1.59 Rating 3.0. No teammate reached a positive kill-death differential, while the winning side was led by L1seYoung’s 55 kills and 1.39 rating.

The previous CS2 LAN high had stood at 60 kills for almost one year. Altekz and k1to shared that mark after both reached it in the same AM versus Nexus match at Digital Crusade DraculaN Season 2. AwaykeN moved two kills beyond them.

A record produced by both performance and extreme match length

A single-map kill total needs context because regulation and overtime provide different numbers of available rounds. AwaykeN played 60 rounds, far more than a normal regulation map, and the six overtimes created the space required for a record attempt. That does not erase the achievement: he still had to average slightly more than one kill per round against a team that ultimately won.

The loss also separates this performance from a simple story of one player carrying a team to victory. INFURITY were close enough to contest every overtime, yet the record was not sufficient to close Dust2. The outcome demonstrates that total kills describe individual production, not complete control of a match.

The main verified figures from the map are:

An abstract arena scoreboard represents 62 kills and a 31-29 result
  • AwaykeN recorded 62 kills and 37 deaths across 60 rounds.
  • His match line included 105.0 ADR, 81.7% KAST and a 1.59 rating.
  • Inner Circle Academy defeated INFURITY 31-29 on Dust2.
  • The previous LAN record was 60 kills, shared by Altekz and k1to.

The Bulgarian’s total is the highest recorded on LAN in CS2, but it is not the overall record when online matches are included. xelex remains first on that combined list with 67 kills, and sstiNiX is second with 63. AwaykeN’s 62 therefore shares third place in the broader category.

Separating LAN and overall records is useful because the playing environments are different. LAN results remove internet latency as a variable and take place under tournament conditions at a physical venue. Online maps remain valid competitive matches, but combining every setting would hide the specific distinction AwaykeN achieved in Riga.

The record is also tied to a particular format and ruleset. A best-of-one that repeatedly reaches overtime can produce a much larger sample than a regulation map. Future comparisons should state the round count alongside the kill total so readers can distinguish raw volume from pace.

Why the 29-31 score matters as much as the total

At 62 kills in 60 rounds, AwaykeN maintained elite production for the full duration rather than building the number through a short burst. His 25-kill positive differential reinforces that point. Even so, Counter-Strike distributes responsibility across five players, economy cycles and coordinated rounds, so an individual record cannot guarantee the final result.

Inner Circle Academy had a more balanced winning line. L1seYoung posted 55 kills, while Flierax reached 44 and three teammates remained close enough to support the closing rounds. INFURITY had three players at 37 or 38 kills and one at 29, leaving a larger share of the damage burden with AwaykeN.

That contrast gives the map lasting statistical interest beyond the headline number. It contains a new LAN record, the third-highest overall CS2 total and an example of a losing player producing the strongest individual line on the server.

A podium of abstract performance markers places 62 above two 60-kill totals
Category Player or team Figure
LAN record AwaykeN 62 kills
Previous LAN record Altekz and k1to 60 kills each
Overall CS2 high xelex 67 kills
Map result Inner Circle Academy 31-29
AwaykeN rating INFURITY 1.59 Rating 3.0

AwaykeN leaves the Riga group-stage map with a record even though INFURITY leave it with a loss. His 62 kills replace a year-old LAN mark and add his name to a very short list of players who have crossed 60 on one CS2 map.

The accurate reading includes both sides of the performance: an exceptional individual output created over six overtimes, and an Inner Circle Academy victory after 60 rounds. Recording the score, duration and supporting statistics preserves the achievement without overstating what the kill total alone decided.
